I wouldn't make that assumption on Kean.... I wrote to him wrt one of his announcements congratulating him... I usually expect the normal note addressing all the Gov policy achievements but got a terse (obviously personally written) thank you and a hurried almost denial that what he announced was anything to do with climate change. Perhaps this was hurried and he was on a pattern that was being repeated in response to conservative emails complaining about the opening of a new state conservation area.
I don't assume one way or another about his performance as Environment minister but he made a splash. and now he's Treasurer and looking like an heir apparent. such rapid rises never come without someone's toes biting sore.
