Not clear where Loadshift/Freightlancer revenue goes in the report and how that works? They own 50%... is that revenue just folded into marketplace? Very hard to see any meaningful metrics from the report, although at least they have stopped telling us how many times the Freightlancer trips go to the moon and back.
If they are folding this revenue into the report as marketplace revenue, it's unnerving either way (whether the freight business is making decent money or not). Marketplace revenue is almost identical to what it was in 2016 ($A45.6 vs $A45.2), so either the freight business isn't contributing much while the main business is staying flat (bad) or the freight business is contributing a few million (ok) but the core business is getting much worse (very bad).
I have no idea why a supposedly global company bought an Australian trucking concern anyhow. What a weird thing to blow the final bit of free cash on.
But overall, this business hit some sort of wall in 2016 and hasn't really grown since. All it's done is spend money on acquisitions. Net tangible assets is $18M worse 2022 vs 2016 without any significant revenue growth.
