I agree,Thommo's case is chicken feed and it has taken forever to get into into Court with a judgement.
The sad part about Thompson's case is that the Labour government knew he was guilty,the ALP President was dipping into the HSU as well ($20 Mill).
They needed his vote to keep the government in power and did everything possible to delay the case with their crony mates in FWA and the legal system.
We have to thank Michael Smith for his incredible tenacity to pursue Thompson and then Gillard - I really think the work he has done was the spark that started the RC.
The climate is right for a RC and anybody who is exposed and guilty of corruption should be dealt with the full force of the law.
I would expect over the next twelve months or so that a number of cases involving Unions,Business and Public Servants including MP's will come out of nowhere as corruption in Australia is out of control.
