Thomson is no longer a member of the Labor Party moondoong so why would any Labor faithful defend him?
Your question is as odd as it would be to ask why nobody in the Liberal party is defending Slipper.
In both cases though I defend their right to a proper trial and their right to a presumption of innocence unless and until a court finds otherwise.
And as both matters are now subjudice public comment should be constrained otherwise there is a risk of derailing the court proceedings.
