If there is a statute of limitations on civil claims several things can happen:
1. CT can argue that the claims made by FWA are barred and if such claim is successful also claim his legals etc.
2. If not statute barred then CT must file and lodge a defence. If he doesn't then the FWA claims will be upheld.
Only in the most minor of criminal matters legislation imposes a statute of limitation. In CT's case most of the claims relate to fraudulent conduct.
