I may be being naive here!

If GGG mine 100 tonnes of rock (with its Thorium content), and extract 1 tonne of rare earths (and uranium) and leave the thorium behind mixed in with the waste they end up with 99 tonnes of waste conatining NO MORE AND NO LESS Thorium than they started with.

Simple soution: put the THORIUM and the iron and the oxygen and the copper and the calcium and the aluminium and all the other waste back where they got it from- net result is a reduction in background radiation- same Thorium as before and LESS uranium.....

As for talk of 'first right of refusal' elsewhere- A first right of refusal is NOT the same as an option or a purchase agreement: it is merely a contract that another party has to be offered the product FIRST- the other party does not have to take the offer, and the offerer isn't necessarily obliged to offer at a particular price (although it can be). To characterise this situation as 'not owning the resource' is disingenuous.

As for the strange downramping associated with Westrip, I find it very curious that Westrip would be talking down their own 27 MILLION shares (12% or more) of GGG which they could sell on market (and indeed have been), a holding worth $15-20+ million. All the negative nancys on here have very obscure motives!
