Yes, that is the logic of the very conservative utilities industries. However, any revenue generated by increased efficiencies goes straight to the bottom line as profit. Therefore by using the Kalina cycle, profit does not increase by just 25-30%, it probably doubles. Developers of new plants may need to look carefully at what new technology actually exists. We don't drive steam powered cars any more.
