Yes @MrGordon, Watchtower largely reads scriptural meaning into the period in which they currently live and in fact base its "teachings" to attract new members and retain existing members on this assumed meaning. This applies to the current Watchtower leadership and its predecessors since its beginnings in the nineteen century which is evidenced by its continuous failed predictions which demonstrate that their derived scriptural meaning has been flawed since their beginning.
Watchtower continually stumbles through its immoral doctrine and failed prophecies (predictions) and so are among the others that stumble. (Matthew 26:33) But Peter, in response, said to him: “Although all the others are stumbled in connection with you, I will never be stumbled!”
