I definitely cannot see the minister announcing a decision in the next few days.
If he is a smart politician (which he seems to be) he will wait till the passions from the weekend have cooled off, and people have moved on to other things.
To dismiss the appeal on Monday would be to re-inflame still simmering passions. Better to wait.
My guess on the timing of an announcement is sometime towards the end of the week.
