As I have said elsewhere -

there was a 9% swing AGAINST Rudd in his own seat -

and an 11% swing against Swan in HIS seat.

As for "who cares" - can assure you that those of us with mining shares do care - very deeply - and looking at a decimated or heavily diminished mining indutry, PLUS spiralling debt, PLUS another $43 billion +++ spend, (probably turning into 70 or 80 billiosn in the longer run)is an extremely worrying prospect indeed.

How must we look to overseas investors? To overseas observers in general? We must be turning into a laughing stock - with this self-destruct hate-filled adverserial mentality brought in courtesy of Labor. If the Greens control the lot we'll be in national melt-down!

Has the last two and a half years been a good example of stable government from Labor?? Don't think so!

Look back to the stable image we had under John Howard and Peter Costello. "NOW" looks like a basket case - with every nutter lobbyist in creation in the batting pushing their own little barrows of self interest -and trying to get their own way.

I'll agree with you about entertainment. For that's what politics has sadly descended into - just shallow glitz and rubbishy trash in the main. Run by the media pack.

In fact, we are really being ruled by the media.
