greeted by laughter at the Ringer’s tease

Another SFX punter takes up the kip

and places his pennies, ready to flip

The rules of the game are simple that’s true

keep on spinning until we see the same two

Heads mean a takeover and 2ic wins

tails it’s a cap raise and to the sin bin

Sure, nobody likes to lose money or pride

but mostly we’re playing to enjoy the ride

Boast to your friends when a winner comes in

keep mum when the trading account start’s getting thin

Throwing odds is all part of the suspense

builds up tension as we peer over the fence

In the ASX ring this can go on for a while

nerves getting frayed, punters losing their smile

But for months now we’ve waited and waited on news

while GR engineering has put off their crews

Of an investment, capital raising or joint venture sale

to be honest this game has become rather stale

Wet season’s over and there’s work needs doing

Shareholders are bored and we’re well sick of stewing

So a big shout out to UBS and the SFX crew
