Base reality (God) is probably consciousness. Certain frequencies of conciousness represent the manifest side of God. Dark matter would be the unmanifest - the yin to matter's yang. Whatever God is, it must always be beyond description.
As biological entities, we are like waves and ripples in the ocean (representing God). We appear as perturbations in the ocean, thinking we are something separate, then dissolve back into the Reality of ocean upon death. Of course death is not death because we never really existed as anything other than a certain pattern in the water.
