It is true that the cost to buy shares on ASX are exorbitant high at least with etrade Germany. Last time I ordered I had to pay more than 17O A$ for one trade! You can see how much shares you could get for this. The other thing is that you are not flexible regarding SP development because you have to order long before opening.
Yesterday I got my CVI shares even cheaper here in Germany than at the ASX for (0,195 A$) But in December 2007 when I got my first CVI shares, it was the contrary and prices were always higher in Frankfurt.
If you are visiting Europe you can tell me if Im still writing on HC. Perhaps there is a chance to meet in Germany the country is small compared with the vastness of downunder.
