Spot on analysis. The adage is to "take part profits" after a good run. This is something I didn't do last year leading up to Courbine - and the rest is history. Its a sound strategy and leaves you with cash to buy back in on a fall.
To what extent you would sell prior to Banda will depend on:
1) Your entry price. 2) Progress with Chinguetti testing and development plans. If testing is good, reserves come in at around 100mbbl or more and development plans have already been announced then that will take most of the risk out on the downside. 3) If field development is contingent upon success at Banda then the risk of holding is greatly increased - sell more.
