My friend reckons the Board meeting went something like this:
OK we agree on the purchase and price, and although we don't need to raise just yet it might just be prudent to do so.
Yes, said somebody it is too good to pass-up, but I think we need to give the long suffering shareholders some reward so we will include them.
OK said somebody else but depending on the terms the present listed options may be a bit of a bother.
Not really, said somebody else for by then we will be so far in the money those holders will gain both ways, and why shouldn't they? We are about rewarding our shareholders.
