I think in this case, the "shorts" indication has become irrelevant. I think it the party that's accumulating shares using their own shares (could be from a different arm of the company) to cap the price and when the price goes right up, they are not too concerned about having to cover, they just transfer their own shares across.
It's good news that they are using so much shares to cap the SP; that merely means that the SP is strong and sooner or later, they would not be able to cap it.
