There is a vast ungovernable desert region in the north which shares open borders with 4 countries. This is where almost all the headlines come from.

The southern green zone is the economic hub and no different to any other west African nation.

Both assets are located in the very south of the country with no history of disruption. I'm far more comfortable investing in operations in this part of the world than Europe for example.
