Lithium is very abundant but getting battery grade is not. Most lithium needs special processing. There is lots of lithium in the ocean but that means processing the whole sea. There is lots of lithium in salt and brines but as others have posted some are high in other minerals and salts not commercially viable to process same goes with mica. Lucky we have spod so mine it and crush it a little easier to refine and pull out some chemical grade lithium.
