You say welcome to the marketing but it's very bad from a marketing perspective. It looks good at first glance when you see the number of followers but then you look at the engagement rates. Someone with a million followers looks great but when they have very little engagement, 5 comments people start to wonder what's up. Why is there so little engagement? Then from a company perspective they don't have reliable statistics because the majority of their followers are fake.
