I had a quick look at the BLT announcement and their trial appeared to be Phase 1/2a. It is possible (I speculate) that BLT changed track based on how their trial was progressing.
I'm interested in your comment around seeing a drop in HCV trials. Do you work for a pharma or a CRO?
In terms of a dropoff in HCV trials, the current marketplace is definitely discouraging new entrants. So it is not clear to me if a dropoff in new HCV trials means there is less value in pursuing BIT225 for HCV.
While I accept that Gilead and AbbVie are ruling the HCV marketplace I see other big pharma as trying to continue to crack the market as the market is worth $$$ and particularly in 1st world countries not the 3rd world.
What am I missing? Please help.
A parrallel and more sinister theory that is taking shape is that management and the board of BIT is taking the p*ss. I don't naturally take to conspiracy theories but I am sceptical that this company has not practiced management or board renewal in a long time.
