I've given the post a thumbs up, because it's a quality reasoned argument, although I disagree with it.
I have many thoughts as to why this will not be just a 1929 bear rally, including China's industrialisation. However if I had to give only one reason, I would say that back then $US was linked to gold. The money supply was therefore fixed and hoarded, causing self-fulfilling deflation and no activity. This time around the massive increase in money supply by the US govt in particular will make it very unprofitable to hoard dollars, as investors seem to be currently discovering. Most of it will end up being spent or invested.
