The essential part of news like todays is that it (at least) supports the "resource".

If the continued drilling was coming up blank, then there would be reason to lower expectations and hence lower the share price.

Personally I see the confirmation of a new lode (as yet really not explored to any degree) as an opportunity to increase expectations! So in my view, whatever MGV was worth on Friday, it should be worth "a bit more" today. Of course, overlay this with macro, gold price, sentiment etc etc and the increased value may or may not show up in todays share price.
