The partnership with Microsoft is very real. How else were they ever going to enable virality outside of engaging support from one of the key players in Microsoft, Apple or Google. Strong strong ties of Thred management to FB will be telling and this is critical to the successful uptake of the unified messaging platform they are building with the blessing and support of Microsoft. All SM sites need to be engaged as third parties. Best place to start is engaging support from FB. No doubt in my mind that this will be a revolutionary first step to future interconnectedness. It wraps itself around SM sites and chat apps no matter which fail or are successful.
This is setting the scene for the Internet of Things and it all starts with this little up start imo laying the framework for the Internet of Everyone then in turn the Internet of Everything.. Connected smart devices etc etc.. exciting times ahead.
