It is also interesting to note that the Chinese government has a personal beef to grind with Japan as represented in a recent court case where Chinese REE manufacturers banded together to sue Hitachi in a Chinese court over their magnet patent licensing rights. We obviously know the outcome of the court case already before the trial even begins =P
