For what it's worth, here are the three possible scenarios being played out at the moment. Not fact driven, just a gut feeling.

Scenario 1. Management know exactly what the result of Fausse Point is. They have good news but are waiting an appropriate amount of time before releasing the announcement which, in turn, will enable them to make a killing via the director's options.

Scenario 2. Management know exactly what the result of Fausse Point is. They have a duster but delayed the release of an announcement because it would damage their chances of succeeding with the director's option proposal.

Scenario 3. They haven't got a clue what they're looking at with the 3D data and don't know whether to proceed or not!
