    I think there is a disturbing number of Gen X-ers who seem unable to distinguish debt funded assets from real wealth.

    How far will the baby boomers go ? A very long way I suspect - an overwhelming majority of them have gotten wealthy out of asset price appreciation .... they will vote for whoever can preserve that status and collectively they have a lot of votes
