new forum? general finance
Olive, you raise an interesting point. There is no really appropriate forum on HC (perhaps other than a member created forum) for general financial discussion, in which category I would place gold.
Clearly ASX by stock is inappropriate.
I have felt that ASX-general was the nearest thing for general finacial discussion but take your point. Also, ASX would seem to preclude discussion about the US markets. In an older version, HC used to have a separate "US stocks" forum but now, no longer.
"General" is where all the ratbaggery takes place and is no place for a serious discussion of financial matters.
So.... I would like to suggest that we have a new Public Forum heading called "General Finance". In this category could come all discussion of US and world finance as well as gold and other PGMs.
