I beleive the thumbs up/down system is flawed and just becomes a popularity contest and this is why i have them turned off in my preferences. Once in a while a top quality post receives what it deserves but on the most part posts such as "4.6cents is history", "the train is leaving", "toot toot", "bots at work", "no stock held, why post here?" etc. etc. receive multitudes of thumbs up from the cheer squads of particular threads so i dont see the point in having them turned on, only to click on a top rated post and read one of the above posts blahhhhh.
