If you read the announcement, it says ..."recommend shareholders vote in favour of the proposal in the absence of a superior proposal and subject to an independent expert concluding (and continuing to conclude) that the proposed transaction is in the best interests of shareholders". {my emphasis}

I find it quite astounding how many "staunch fans" have suddenly turned on the Board.

There is plenty we don't know - Was Albermarle going to walk away if a bid wasn't accepted?
Have there been approaches from another party (s)?
What will an independent expert value the company at ? ....this will be a very key element
(a) what "discount" does the independent expert apply given the risks associated with getting to full production
(b) what price assumption does the independent expert use

I'll back Tim and his team - they have been very strategic to date, I can't imagine that has changed!

Congratulations to the Board and Management! $1.53 when the original bid was announced (not withstanding the "manouevring" of share price prior)
