i agreed with neighbours that fri nights rain was the heaviest we have seen since may 2015, where we had 200mm in two hours that saw our local street blocked from all the timber washed out of the forest. in 20 yrs in bne , i rekn weve seen 5 or 6 rain events similar, plus a couple of ex cyclones that end up worse again. calling it 1 in 100 event is just someone getting a little over excited.
