He is not being certain. He is speculating, not in a financial sense, making a risky statement. He is hoping it eventuates. When comonsense has evaporated, what else is left? Aristotle believed that to live a happy life one should speculate. So for all those on here you are backed by the master of philosophy and human behaviour. Be happy.
