Thursday 20th Dec - Hello March contract

SPI Futures March contract traded in a 104 point range last night, with a high of 5596, low of 5492 and a close this morning of 5499, down 32 points, on volume of 22,972 contracts. Based on that range, my resistance lines are 5633, 5607, 5593, 5581, 5569 and 5555, with the pivot point at 5529 and support lines at 5503, 5489, 5477, 5465, 5451 and 5425. One gap from last night, up at 5518. Phew, what a night it was, with the DOW going from positive, to losing 800 odd points from the high, to close down 1.49 pct, SNP down 1.54 pct and Canada (resource driven) down 1.06 pct. VIX bucking the inverse correlation, down 0.27 pct to 25.51. First real trading day for the March contract, with December flat-lining around 10:30... Have a nice day. Oh, and on this day in 2012, Intercontinental Exchange purchases the New York Stock Exchange for 8 billion USD... Nice... ka ching.
