SPI Futures traded in a 121 point range last night, with a high of 5316, low of 5195, and a close this morning of 5286, up 49 points, or .93 pct, on low volume of 9,736 contracts. Next gap up from a previous day is at 5317, then 5252, 5361 and 5368 being the 'unusual' four pointer (64 to 68). Gaps from last night are down at 5238, 5233, 5226, then 5140 (she got to 42 yesterday) 5121 and 5101 from a previous day.

Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) says it has successfully launched a military satellite into orbit for the first time - named Nur (Light), it reached an orbit of 425km (264 miles) after being carried by a three-stage Qased launcher. US saying it was a violation of a UN resolution.  Trump see's the light, and in an apparent response to an incident last week in the Gulf, tweeted that he had instructed the US Navy to "shoot down and destroy any and all Iranian gunboats if they harass our ships at sea". I wasn't aware that gunboats could fly, but get the picture. Oil got the picture too, with June WTI crude rising 23.34  pct, to 14.27 a barrel, (still cheaper than a bucket of KFC chicken), and June Brent crude, (the international benchmark), up 5.4 pct, to 20.37 a barrel, off it's low of 15.98 a barrel - its lowest levels since 1999. That, some better earnings reports and the US Senate approving another 484 billion 'relief' dollars (which get's voted on in the House later this week), saw the DOW up 1.99 pct, SNP up 2.29 pct and Canada, (resource driven), up more, at 2.50 pct. VIX down 7.55 pct to 41.98. Options expiry day today, but not the main ones. Have a nice day.
