SPI Futures traded in a small 28 point range last night, with a high of 6081, low of 6053 and a close this morning of 6066 up 6 points on low volume of 9,000 contracts. Based on that range, my pivot point and R and S levels for today are below. No gaps above, and ones down at 57 and 55 from last night and 43 from yesterday, then 32 (she got to 34 yesterday) and 29 from a previous day. DOW up .24 pct, SNP up .18 pct and Canada (resource driven) up .57 pct. VIX down 5.57 pct to 14.08 - happy days. The US-China trade talks are going so well, they may have to extend the deadline which Trump said the date of which 'was not magical'.. but the markets went up on 'optimism', or is that 'hopium' - now that's good stuff.
Today in 1974, Silver hit a record 5.96 an ounce on the London exchange. Today Silver is 16.08 an ounce, but a far cry from the 500 an ounce touted during the GFC. However, they say every cloud has a silver lining, and silver bars do make good door stops. Have a nice day.
