SPI Futures traded in a large range again last night, being 134 points, with a high of 6709, low of 6575, and a close this morning of 6627, down 28 points, on high (for us) volume of 43,143 contracts. She went down 115 points between 19:00 and 20:00, during the opening of Europe, then went up 134 points from 20:00 until 02:00 am. When I woke up at 3 am, she was up 45 points, and by the time I made a coffee, she was already in the red, so volatility is still the key, and a good trader makes it their friend, and a fool makes it their enemy. Gaps from last night are up at 6700, and down at 6622 and 6614. The two day opening gaps are still there on the upside from previous days, tick tick tick.  US markets were in the green by over 1 pct, however, ended with the DOW down .46 pct, SNP down .38 pct, and Canada (resource driven) down .79 pct. The VIX was also down 1.04 pct to 27.56, bucking the inverse correlation after previous up 40 pct plus days. Oh, give me a sign. Have a nice day.

Today in 1980, at the 22nd Grammy Awards, 'Song of the Year' and 'Record of the Year' was awarded to Kenny Loggins' "What a Fool Believes". Yes traders... To quote the song's  lyrics.. "But what a fool believes he sees, no wise man has the power to reason away. What seems to be, is always better than nothing. True, true, and remember - It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.
