One of the scenarios I had was for one day below the 2002 top and then a gap back above the next day.

A similar thing happened in 1997 with the 2300 level, the 1987 and 1994 highs.

SO yesterday closed on or above the 2002 top and above 50% of all time highs.

If today stays weak you might even get a really bad finish in SPI if not XJO as well as everyone sees that 2002 top is not support and neither is 50%.

For many this will seem like there is no suppport and no bottom anywhere and getting out is a must as all hope is gone.

If Friday then sees a gap open back above 3500 then the bottom is in IMO.

Not a fixed scenario and we won't know till tomorrow.
