Thursday March 5 - Rear View Mirror

SPI Futures traded in another large point range last night, (but half of the previous days big ranges), being 134 points, with a high of 6437, low of 6303, and a close this morning of 6435, up 112 points, on lower than lately volume of 22,939 contracts. She filled the outstanding gap up at 68, after an early night session 50 point green arrow, then did a 40 point retreat, before another 50 point green arrow into the close. Two gaps from last night, down at 6406 and 6424 which will probably fill at the open.  Next gap up from a previous day is at 6497. Super Tuesday in the US saw Biden take the lead from Sanders, whom Wall Street wouldn't favour, owing to his thoughts on the ugly word.... 'nationalizing' the health care insurance industry. Health care stocks went up, no surprise there, with the DOW up 4.54 pct, SNP up 4.22 pct, and Canada (resource driven), up 2.17 pct. VIX down 13.12 pct to 31.99. Have a nice day.



Today in 2019, Bugatti announced the most expensive new car ever made - the 'La Voiture Noire' meaning the 'Black Car', costing €16.7 million ($28 million AUD), and that only one will be made. Yes traders, one of a kind, and you can imagine how much the spare parts will cost, as they probably only made one of each part, so probably not at Supercheap.  Oh, also today in 2013, the Dow Jones surpassed its 2007 pre-financial crisis level for the first time, but I thought the car was more interesting, and maybe if we had held on, or bought more at the bottom, we could buy a replacement rear view mirror.
