Just wanted to post a chart to keep people on their toes.

DOW/Gold ratio

After reaching a high in '99, this ratio has been in free-fall.

Currently we're at a figure of 9. If the freefall continues and this ratio goes to 1 (just like 1980), stocks have another 90% to fall, relative to gold going up.

One of the reasons I'm looking to buy silver in the next couple of months.
