I should add that it never ceases to amaze me that people post negative, critical comments about a company on HC, and then complain that the SP is falling.

HC has a huge following, and many people who are thinking of investing in a stock have a look at the comments on HC made by existing shareholders. If the comments are mainly negative, that's usually the end of the prospective investor's interest in the company, unless they have some prior knowledge which encourages them to dig a little deeper.

Holders, too, can be influenced by negative comments on here, and inexperienced investors in particular are likely to sell if the prophets of doom scare them off.

That's another reason why I think it's better to take any real concerns direct to the company. If you can't resolve the matter that way, then fine, go ahead and give them a serve on HC or some other forum.
