June 4th is the anniversary of the 1989 Tiananmen Square massacre where the Chinese goverment declared martial law and sent the military into central parts of Beijing. The photo of the student with shopping bags, standing in front of tanks telling them to stop is THE image of the massacre.
Expect some confrontation in Hong Kong today.
