There is such a thing as price manipulation and believe it or not there is some pretty specific guidelines in the asx's trading policy. Though they rarely get enforced.
In fact I have bought and sold stock and have been questioned by my broker over what I was doing.
The data indicates that some are churning the stock lower for no real loss or gain. Instanet have been invloved in trading in other stocks before a low ball T/O offer. Not saying it's the case here as no body knows but the best price is simply not being taken for stock sold currently. They are happy to sell down in drips and drabs and then buy back and all the way down from 70c!
If these guys want to sell out they'll prop the price and distribute higher. See it all the time.
The trading just doesn't stack up to normal trading currently...whatever the reason.
