Hey @AJ7 I was giving your sentiment on commodities some thought today. As we all know you have never been a fan of commodities and mostly tech savvy kind of person.
Anyway, ok back to the subject and I would be lying if last few days haven’t rattled my nerves and questioned my belief in current commodity super cycle. So I sat down and gave it some thoughts and did some research.
What really surprised me the strength of commodities in the face of strong USD. USD is nearly at alltime high and this has barely put a dent in some of these EV commodities especially. I can’t see USD going from strength to strength. It’s nearly overbought now. It’s actually very overbought. What happens when the ROW starts raising interest rates as well? Right now market kind of thinks that only usd will go up. Which is strange. What happens to USD when commodities dollars starts catching up? Forexample Canadian and AUD. Food for thought.
