I'm still a rookie myself, but you need to have a little TA knowledge on the chart. Generally just make sure there's momentum (with big volume) and watch the chart on a lower time frame (1m or 5m), make sure its making higher highs and higher lows.
A rudimentary simple way to do it is to use the RSI indicator for entry and exit, (above 70 usually means a pullback which could be an exit, or below 30 is generally a bump up or entry)
This is my latest scalp on Zip on 1 min chart, didn't time entry perfectly but got in again when RSI bottomed
Blue dotted line is entry - I also moved my stop loss up to my entry - as the price moves up, move stop loss up higher to next support so if it dumps you're not losing anything
