Short story... I started out renovating houses in the mid 80s after leaving school, worked in building contracts, that type of thing, I would buy run down terrace Houses in Sydney with a friend and we would do them up before it was a thing that - everyone does now. We would flip them after a few months, some of them a couple of years, a few we kept and rented out when property went out of rising in value around 1991 - but it paid for travel for a lot of years that's for sure...
Around 1998 sold them off and started trading and investing full time ever since...
Like anyone there are good and bad years, just keep doing what works over and over again
