it does have an impact as far as I can tell.
chuck in an order via CFD and it'll add to the order book and move price up or down if buying at market
IG doesn't have all the stocks available through CFD's, its annoying some times
I need to find a platform that lets you short without cfd's - and has a larger selection... or lets you set stops and limits on normal shares not cfd's
