In 2010 the future for SDL and its resource seemed bright as IO was still HOT HOT HOT.
Fast forward 2-3 years later and the whole resources sector is just copping a pounding.
The Hanlong deal in 2013 was the be all and end all for SDL. Without it SDL is just another insignificant IO resource that is worth something if its cheap enough to the right buyer.
I gambled on the deal going through and lost. Thankfully the amount was smallish and in the long run insignificant.
As the $A dollar falls I expect TO and mergers in the mining areas to increase in the 2nd half of this year. Hopefully SDL will be a part of this....but you won't get 45 cents for it. That train has long departed.
Without a TO or merger , SDL is a 5 cent stock at best. And it gives me no pleasure saying it.
