I was only going by what was stated in the original post. It was said that "the power plants would harness giant walls to capture incoming and outgoing tides."

The wall in the image looked biggish.

The point I am trying to make is that wave energy, offshore wind energy and tidal turbines have much less impact on the marine environment than would a sea wall.
