If you read any of my views of political parties you will know that I don't care much for politicians of just about all shapes and forms (but I have to admit to having a particular distaste for a few of the, such as Bill Shorten, whom I think is unfit to lead.)
Heck, I didn't actually mind Andrews that much [*]; I thought his administration was - generally - doing a reasonably good job in the way it was investing in the state's infrastructure.
So you shouldn't assume that this is a political matter.
For me it is about balanced strategy, irrespective of who implements it.
The stakes are simply too high for the country's leaders to be getting this wrong.
[*] That has changed in most recent times. He's lost my respect.
