Whether you agree with the restrictions or you don't philosophically is one thing. Not obeying the restrictions is another.

Not obeying the restrictions means you get the worst of both worlds - the disease and a hit to the economy. Followed by greater restrictions. Working together and obeying the rules means greater freedom and less economic impact.

I would imagine WA is the same as SA right now. The place is humming. Regional tourism operators have just had their best school holiday numbers for years, local businesses are being supported like never before, new local manufacturers are popping up, it's like peak hour much of the day there's so many people out and about, having a good time but following the rules.

Of course many businesses have suffered and jobs have been lost. But there is a terrific sense of optimism and goodwill. Over in the US my Facebook friends are doing it so tough and are so down. Because they aren't united, and thus have the worst of both worlds. (And don't forget this virus sometimes does long-term damage to your health in even mild cases, it's not only older people dying.)

Eventually we will get effective treatment, a vaccine or it will die off. Just hang in there, follow the rules, and don't listen to dickheads who seek to divide us and we'll come out of this ok.
