"Apples and wheelbarrows people."
On the subject of apples and wheelbarrows, a few days back you were questioned about your assertion that "Based on the Swedish numbers it could be 15-20 thousand Australians."
Specifically, the question posed was:
"It is a most important number for any serious discussion of this weighty nature.
Accordingly, kindly provide the basis for your indicative range of Australian deaths.
Moreover, however that range has been derived, presumably it has been duly adjusted for determinants such as:
1. Relative Age Demographics - Sweden's population is materially older than Australia's. Specifically, Sweden has 26% more of its citizens in the >65 year aged cohort than Australia, and its natural death rate is 29% higher than Australia's.
2. Population distribution - Australia has 3 people per square km; Sweden had 25. While both countries are similarly urbanised (90%), Sweden's is concentrated in fewer urban centres than Australia
3. Differences in Climate - This clearly has bearing on the spread of the virus, and in just about any measure (average year-round temps, maximums, minimum temps, average daylight hours), Australia is inordinately warmer and sunnier than Sweden.
4. Relative geographic isolation and accessibility - self evident"
